Taylor-Swift
Taylor Swift, full Taylor Alison Swift. American singer/songwriter who's had great popularity with her stories she tells of her young heartbreak. Swift showed an interest in the arts at a very young stage and progressed swiftly through roles in the children's theater to her first appearance before a crowd of thousands. The moment Swift performed The Star-Spangled Banner in front of a Philadelphia 76ers game when she was 11 she had already begun writing songs. After that, she started playing the guitar. Taking her inspiration from country music artists such as Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original songs that were a reflection of her own experiences of tween alienation. Swift's family relocated to Tennessee from Pennsylvania at the age of 13, so that she could spend more time pursuing popular country music labels in Nashville.
